The Unbreakable India : A Timeless Legacy
It's been 79 years since the day our ancestors - the great freedom fighters and the warriors of our motherland - saw the nation in making. For which they all came together, setting aside their ego, their differences, their wants and needs, and what not. For years they stood united and fought for one shared, noble goal:An Independent India.
This day makes us all ponder on many questions - Have we achieved what they dreamt of? Are we truly the India they envisioned? Are we honoring their sacrifices?
India surely has reached great heights and is poised to reach many more. Once broken and left to ruin, India is now a globally valued country - reclaiming its position. India is leading in digital innovation with the UPI being adopted by many foreign countries. We are now the 4th largest economy of the world, leaving behind the ones who left us to struggle and suffer.
We have become a promising destination for business, companies like Apple and Google are ready to invest here with global pressure mounting against. Militarily, we are now becoming more self-reliant by each passing day.The country which was looked down upon by its own people as well as the world is now rising - with everyone's eyes on it.
But is India truly doing great? Have we woken up from the deep slumber the invaders put us in? Our brave soldiers shed their blood on the borders strengthening our country; while each cry that's unheard and the blood that's shed of an innocent is making it hollow within. The soldiers with zero comfort and no security are fiercely ready to fight for their motherland, while we with full comfort, security and power are being distant. We say there is so much injustice in India, are we taking any action against it? Our freedom fighters fought in a country that didn't provide any right or security to them but what about us? Where is the unity that shook the very foundation of the entire British empire? While upholding individual interest our national interest has faded.
Numbers are showing a greater India in making, are the numbers enough? There are a lot of such questions rising as we move forward. Looking back from where we started and the conditions, we can feel proud to be born as an Indian.
When foreign forces and territories infiltrated our land, we stood together as one nation. We gave a clear answer to the world: we stand by our soldiers, we stand by our country, and no one can divide us, no matter what happens. Most importantly we told the world that we won't accept any kind of terrorism in our soil. The fire of patriotism that was once ignited during the freedom movement still burns fiercely within us.Operation Sindoor served as undeniable proof not just of our military capabilities, but of our unshakable resolve against terrorism and those who sponsor it. The world watched in awe as our defence systems displayed their strength, and our forces moved with unmatched precision. Even political lines blurred, with the ruling and opposition parties becoming one to protect the national interest.Through our unmatched diplomacy, India compelled the world to officially acknowledge Pakistan’s involvement – in the inhumane attack at took place on 26th April – at the global stage.Operation Sindoor was a testament to our unity, a reflection of our strength, and a reminder to the world that Indian women are warriors by birth; never timid, never weak - women's are our strength not our weakness.
As a developing nation we were targeted, questioned and challenged. We faltered but never gave in. We have always held our heads up high. We have time and again proven that we belong to that part of the world where:
The great philosopher Chanakya shaped the foundations of strategy and statecraft — reflected today in our diplomacy.
The legendary mathematician and astronomer Aryabhatta once lived — echoed in our achievements like Mangalyaan and Chandrayaan.
The ancient surgeon Sushruta pioneered medical practices — a legacy we carry forward in healthcare and innovation.
The brave and wise rulers — Ahilyabai Holkar, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the Ambika queens, Emperor Ashoka — left behind a legacy of courage, leadership, and justice.
This is the India we come from. Our ancestors have set the bar high — not just for us, but for generations to come. So, let us all come together and pledge to uphold the great legacy left behind for us — and ensure that the countless sacrifices and injustices endured by our ancestors were not in vain.
